*SAN to MAN:

What follows is technical, but It’s still spiritual since everything light, dark and in between is spiritual.  Besides; You can handle it and may find some value in it. Just like our bustling or crumbling cities are no less spiritual than are our suburbs, mountains, valleys, island beaches, exotic retreats and places of extreme beauty. There is value in it all and in Truth, our cities possess more spiritual energy than elsewhere. If your mind, heart and eyes are open you already know why I say that.

Now; Let me take you for a short ride into the technology that is making it possible for you to read these words and interact here on my blog…

a. The Internet is an extremely large web/network of energetic connections going to and from most everywhere on the planet. One could then refer to it as a World Wide Web/WWW. Think telephone lines on some kind of super duper steroids. That type of network is called a Wide Area Network or WAN for short. It has been given the name “Internet.”

b. Somewhere in California (I think…) there is a computer system that stores/hosts (for a fee…) information in the form of a computer program I sent them. As my program runs on their computer, HayRAy’s Blog is made available to anyone on the Internet including you. Their computer system is connected to a LAN (See c.) which is connected to the WAN/Internet  (See a.)

c. Your computer is connected to a much smaller network of connections which exists in your home, office, etc. That type of smaller network is called a Local Area Network or LAN for short. It has been given the name “Intranet.” Your LAN/Intranet is also connected to the WAN/Internet.

Since both the HaeRAy’s Blog hosting computer and your shiny computer are connected, though indirectly, to the WAN/Internet, they are “functionally” connected together and able to exchange a wealth of information in a variety of different formats.  In fact, it might even appear as if HaeRAy’s Blog was actually running on “your computer” instead of one that’s perhaps thousands of miles away from you. So; It’s the other/host computer that’s running my blog program and it’s just letting your computer make use of it.

That’s all a pretty sweet arrangement isn’t it? But there’s one last aspect I want to bring to our technical/spiritual table on this matter.

d. You were provided with a device by your Internet Service Provider or ISP for short, which serves as the actual connection point or interface between your computer and all that stuff you have that’s plugged into it and the WAN/Internet and all the stuff that others have plugged into it.  That device is commonly referred to as a Modem.

Recently I became aware of another set of networks which I suggest are nothing less than Divine. They are the Spirit Area Network/SAN and the Material Area Network/MAN.
